Some high school athletics are back in action this week.
It's part of Phase 1 of COVID-19 guidelines from the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association. Now through July 15th, team practices, camps, clinics, and leagues are not allowed.
Strength and conditioning and try-outs are permitted.
Some schools that are starting summer athletics include Tulsa's Edison and Will Rogers, Jenks, Union, and Broken Arrow. Guidelines include temperature checks and COVID-19 screening for everyone. Coaches and supervising adults are required to wear masks. Everyone must wash their hands before entering facilities and also stay 6-feet apart.
Starting July 15th, practice may begin for fast-pitch softball, baseball, volleyball, and cross country.
