Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue said, “reliable and modern 21st century infrastructure, including electric infrastructure and smart grid technologies, is a cornerstone for prosperity in rural America.”

The USDA said they will provide loans to improve transmission and distribution lines, including lines in the Arkansas Valley which will supply communication paths to residents in three Oklahoma counties.
