Tulsa Police arrested a man after they said he broke into a motel room and barricaded himself inside.

The management at the Tulsa Inn and Suites on Skelly Drive reported a man entering a room and officers said he refused to come out or communicate with the officers when they arrived.

Police said the suspect, later identified as James Michael Pate, barricaded himself in the bathroom. Police said when they used pepper balls, Pate got into the shower to wash it off, so the motel turned off the water to the room.

Officers said Pate resisted arrest and refused to give his name, but it was tattooed on his back. Officers learned that Pate was wanted for burglary.

The suspect is under arrest for trespassing, resisting arrest and his burglary warrant.
