Here’s a look at six things to know before you set your alarm for Saturday.
1.FREE RIDE TO FRESH FOOD: Tulsa Transit will offer a free shuttle to the farmers’ market on Admiral and Lewis Saturday morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The route will start at 65th Street North and Quaker and end at 15th and Lewis.
2.GET RID OF JUNK: The Metropolitan Environmental Trust will host a tire and e-waste recycling event at the Tulsa Zoo. Tire recycling is free, but there are fees for CRT monitors and televisions.
3.PBR AT THE BOK: Professional bull riding is back in Tulsa. The PBR Express Ranches Invitational runs through Sunday at the BOK Center. All fans attending this weekend’s event will be required to wear masks. Oklahoma’s Ryan Dirteater will be back for his final year of riding.
4.COLLEGE FOOTBALL SHOWDOWN: A rivalry is renewed as OU and Texas meet for the 116th time, both teams coming off upset losses last week. Kickoff is at 11 a.m. inside the Cotton Bowl.
5.IT’S THE POSTSEASON: FC Tulsa will start their 2020 postseason run away against El Paso Locomotive. There’s a watch party for fans Saturday night at OneOK Field. Fans can sit in the stands or on the field. Gates open at 8 p.m.
6.AXING ANGER: The Angry Wood Axe throwing tournament is Saturday at the Riverwalk in Jenks. More than 160 competitors from around the country will compete for the $25,000 prize. You can also just throw for fun.
