More than a dozen people were killed after a bus collided with a train in central Thailand on Sunday.
According to officials the crash happened around 8 a.m. just east of Bangkok.
Rescue workers said the bus was taking around 60 factory workers to a Buddhist ceremony. The bus was crossing a railroad track when it was hit by a freight train. The impact of the crash flipped the bus on its side and ripped off the roof.
A least 20 people were killed and 30 others were hurt.
The governor said the crossing has an alarm but it does not have a barrier to block traffic from trains that are passing. He said barriers will be installed and crews will cut down trees near the crossing to hopefully improve visibility.
According to the world health organization, Thailand's roads are some of the deadliest in the world.
