Governor Orders Flags At Half Staff For Pearl Harbor Sailor

Governor Kevin Stitt ordered all flags on state property lowered to half-staff to honor a navy sailor who was killed in the Pearl Harbor attack.

Navy fireman First Class Rex Wise died onboard the U.S.S. Oklahoma in 1941. His remains were identified last October.

He was buried Wednesday in a ceremony in Kay County, on what would have been his 100th birthday.
