One amazing Oklahoman has been reaching out to at-risk kids around Tulsa for more than 30 years.

Larry Wells started teaching Taekwondo decades ago in Ziegler Park. Now he runs his own dojo.

Wells invites troubled teens to his classes, where he teaches life lessons, gives them structure and helps them build a community where they feel they belong.

His students know he’s just a phone call away, at any time of day or night.
