The Greater Tulsa Cherokees are making sure Cherokee families across Oklahoma have enough food to eat for the holiday season.

Volunteers passed out bags of food and other groceries at Will Rogers United Methodist Church in Tulsa.

Organizers said the need is stronger than ever during this Christmas season, but they are ready to give back

Linda Bolin said, "It's our goal and our desire to take care of our veterans and our elders as well as our families, and we really appreciate the donations to help with the sacks of food to give away today."
