Tulsa police say a stray dog is to blame for a late-night rollover crash.

According to officers, the crash happened along East 36th Street North between North Peoria Avenue and North Lewis Avenue around 12:30 am on Monday.

The driver behind the wheel said that they were driving down the road and swerved to avoid hitting a dog that was in the middle of the road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled over into a ditch.

Both the driver and the passenger had already exited the overturned vehicle by the time Tulsa firefighters arrived on the scene. They both walked away from the wreck with no injuries.

The dog, who caused the wreck, stayed on the scene of the crash and watched as crews towed the vehicle.

Crews checked to see if the dog had any tags however, they were unable to find any.
