Investigation Underway After Man Found Shot, Killed In Tulsa Roadway

Police are investigating after a body was discovered near W 49th St and Highway 75 on Monday.

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa police are investigating after a body was discovered in the road near West 49th Street and Highway 75.

According to police, a shots-fired call came in around 4 a.m., while officers were trying to locate the shots-fired, they discovered the body of a man who had been shot and killed in the road.

Lieutenant Brandon Watkins says investigators found shell casings near the man's body and they're hoping someone who lives nearby has surveillance video that could help clear up what lead up to the shooting.

"Well yeah I mean right now we've got a who-dun-it. We've got a guy in the middle of the roadway and we've got to figure out who he is and figure out why someone would want to kill him," said Lt. Watkins

Officers have not yet identified the victim.
