The opening round of the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship is under way at Southern Hills.
And besides golf, the big story of the day there is the weather.
The PGA has a meteorologist on staff who is watching radar throughout the day.
Stewart Williams has been working PGA tournaments for more than 25 years.
He's equipped with two laptops, radar, and the National Lightning Detection Network.
He said there number one concern is lightning in tournaments like this and can determine any electricity in the air and gets concerned when its within eight miles of the course.
If they determine there is a threat, the tournament has a plan in place where they can evacuate both players and patrons.
He said its very important they watch the weather closely in case they need to stop play or suspend it.
Williams says there is good news--the rest of the tournament looks nice weather wise.
