Child Tax Credit Service Event To Take Place In Tulsa

An event offering free tax preparation for families who have not filed a return, but are eligible to receive a child tax credit, is being offered in midtown on Friday. Those eligible could receive payments of up to $300 for each child automatically through the Child Tax Credit.

The Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center is teaming up with Goodwill’s Volunteer Tax Income Assistance at its location near 15th and Yale. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.

Volunteers will prepare and electronically file tax returns in person. Both individuals and families with household incomes less than $57,000 are eligible for the service.
