Man In Custody After Crashing Stolen Van Into Creek During Chase With Tulsa Police

Tulsa police say a man is in custody after leading officers on a chase in a stolen minivan and then crashing into Mingo Creek. The suspect and an officer were taken to the hospital to have minor injuries looked at following the chase.

Police took Jourdan White into custody at the scene and he has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail. Officers said they tried to pull White over after discovering the van was stolen around 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

They said White took off through a neighborhood near Admiral and Mingo and then crashed into the Mingo Creek behind the Meadowbrook apartment complex. Police said White got out of the car and was going to make a run for it but surrendered.

The car was towed away from the scene. White faces several charges, including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and running from police.
