Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Vehicle While Leaving Fairgrounds, According To TPD

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle while leaving the fairgrounds on Sunday evening, the Tulsa Police Department says.

Police say that the pedestrian was struck by a Ford Expedition at a crosswalk while leaving the fairgrounds from Gate 8 at about 7:30 p.m.

The crosswalk was dark and the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing, police say.

The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the officers. Witnesses say the vehicle was not speeding and officers say there were no signs of intoxication.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital. The name of those involved has not been released at this time.
