Fall has arrived, which mean winter is just around the corner. One car dealer group is doing everything they can do to get coats to kids now.

At Joe Cooper Used Cars & Trucks on the corner of SW 59th and Western, they are giving away coats to kids.

“If you can bring your kids, we would love to see them. We would love to give them a coat. We would love to give them a pair of gloves," said Alma Anguiano, with Joe Cooper Auto Group.

This is year number one for the coat giveaway. Even though we haven’t quite had those winter cold temps, now’s the time to start preparing.

“We want to make sure we are covering some of the kids' needs, and winter is coming. We know, in Oklahoma, it gets really cold, and so we want to be able to be part of that in a small way,” said Anguiano.

They have 450 coats, sizes four to 14, and 450 pairs of gloves all free, as well as scarfs. There’s free food as well.

“We have some Mexican pastries; we’ll have some hot chocolate, as well. Hotdogs, amazing, and also pizza,” said Anguiano.

The dealership is also giving away free soccer balls, basketballs and footballs, and of course, Halloween candy.

“Any opportunity that we have to serve or can help, we just want to be part of that,” said Anguiano.

Coats are available to children until they are gone.

“We want to make sure our kids have all the coats they need,” said Anguiano.
