Tulsa police say a man is dead after a deadly crash on the Inner Dispersal Loop near downtown Tulsa.
According to police, the victim was driving on the Tisdale Parkway around 11 p.m. on Tuesday when he attempted to get on the eastbound IDL ramp.
Police say the victim lost control of his car and crashed it into a concrete barrier. He then exited his vehicle, leaving it on the highway, and attempted to cross the eastbound lanes where he was then hit by a semi-truck.
Police say the driver of the semi-truck stayed on scene and waited for first responders to arrive.
According to police, the man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Officers on scene said family members of the victim drove by the crash and recognized the vehicle after the victim had been transported to the hospital. Police say the family members inquired to officers about the vehicle and were informed by police that the victim had died.
Police say no charges will be filed against the driver of the semi-truck.
Police have not yet identified the victim or the driver.
