Tulsa Public Schools Holds Ceremonies To Recognize Native American Heritage Month

Tulsa Public Schools is recognizing Native American Heritage month on Monday.

Tulsa Public Schools is recognizing Native American Heritage month on Monday.

The district is held two ceremonies, one took place at the Education Service Center on Monday morning and the other at 1 p.m. at Edison Preparatory School.

Muscogee Nation Chief David Hill is joined the ceremonies and spoke.

The district also acknowledged that the schools exist on tribal land.

Two more ceremonies will take place Thursday at Central to honor the Osage Nation and Booker T. Washington to honor the Cherokee Nation.
