The Christmas holiday is special for some families, who despite the rising number of COVID-19 cases,

are still committed to traveling to see family during the holidays.

Lisa Rice traveled all the way to Tulsa from Ardmore to visit her son on Christmas.

She said this time of year is always special.

“I’m with my son and his girlfriend, tonight we are opening presents, we’re going to her mom and dad’s house”, said Lisa Rice.

Rice says she has looked forward to this trip to Tulsa for quite a while.

“I’m excited. I love Christmas; it’s my favorite time of year and I think everybody should get together and just be happy and just fellowship and worship”, said Rice.

Christmas activities will still be happening all around Green Country during this holiday season.

This includes Christmas lights at Rhema and various Holiday Activities at the Castle of Muskogee.
