Tuesday, Tulsa third graders visited Discovery Lab at Gathering Place as the lab starts welcoming field trips.
It's a chance for the students to get hands-on experience with science.
“There’s a little kind of like an earth and there is blue water and you take the little thing that you pour it on and there’s like a squiggly line and it goes down there," said Riley Cater.
Riley is in the third grade at Kerr Elementary. She said they had a busy day learning about erosion, rock minerals, and electricity.
“So far we’ve gone up to the classrooms and learned about electricity and then we came down and we got on the tape slides and then we went outside and had lunch," said Lucia Cervantes.
Lucia is another third grader that visited the Discovery Lab on Tuesday. She said the students also spent time in the classrooms.
“We learned how electricity can be stored using vinegar," said Lucia.
Throughout the month of March third graders from different Tulsa Public Schools will be visiting the Discovery Lab.
