A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of northeast Oklahoma until 6 p.m. on Friday

The advisory has been issued for the following areas: Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Nowata, , Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Pittsburg, Pushmataha, Rogers, Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner, Washington counties.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the strong arctic front could bring snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches and possible ice accumulation of a few hundredths of an inch. According to the NWS, higher accumulations are expected along and north of Interstate 44 in the northeast portion of the state.
