The Coweta Fire Department held a traditional push-in ceremony for a brand new fire engine.

The ceremonies date back to the time of horse-drawn fire equipment. Back then, animals couldn't back in to the stations, so people physically pushed the equipment into the bays.

"I believe our last engine was purchased about 20 years ago," said Coweta Fire Marshall Jeff Waller. "Our job all revolves around the equipment that we use, so having good equipment, reliable equipment is very important to make sure that we can succeed in our job."

According to the fire department, the new fire engine cost about $400,000
