Fundraiser Helps Send Oklahoma Veterans To Washington D.C.

A fundraiser is helping send Oklahoma veterans on a special trip to Washington DC.

The fundraiser hosted a charity dinner at the Broken Arrow Vet Center, which had a chili cook off and a silent auction where gifts and desserts were provided to bid on.

The money that was raised went to the Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight, which flies veterans to D.C. to visit different memorials.

Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight Board Member Chris Schroeder said "We had a lot of visitors come. We raised a bunch of funds for our upcoming flight and future flights."

There will be another ceremony for the participating veterans at Tulsa's Hard Rock Casino on April 17th before the veterans take off to D.C.
