ALS Association Hosts Community Boot Camp At Tulsa Church

A gathering Saturday at a Tulsa Church hopes to raise awareness about ALS.

ALS is a disease that slowly affects the brain and spine over time, and people living with it may struggle to do basic things like move and breathe.

There's no known cause or cure for the disease.

On Saturday, the ALS Association hosted a boot camp for patients and families to learn about the disease, how to care for themselves and meet other people to create a community of support.

About 100 people showed up the boot camp.
