How would you like to build a spacecraft or pilot rovers across Mars?
A new exhibit at Discovery Lab allows you to do all that and more.
The Sun, Earth, Universe exhibition is on display for three months at the museum. It gives a glimpse into what NASA scientists are asking about our planet, our sun, and what lies in the far reaches of the universe.
In Discovery Lab style, everything about the exhibit is hands-on and created for all ages.
Activities include building a model spacecraft, spinning a tumbler of 10,000 beads representing all the stars we can see from Earth, and using tools, like those used by NASA scientists, to reveal hidden images.
Director of Education, Chip Lindsey, said activities like this help get more kids interested in earth and space science.
"One of the things that is the hardest to do is actually get your hands on space because you cannot get there," he continued saying, "This exhibit gives you the opportunity to examine a lot of the phenomena that helps us understand what is going on when we get to space."
