Welltown Brewing located in downtown Tulsa has created a winter rooftop retreat.
Iglootown first opened in 2020.
"It was a COVID response and four years, four seasons later here we are," said owner Jeremy Diamond.
Iglootown features eight heated igloos named after a different arctic animal on the rooftop of Welltown Brewing. Each one has great views of the Tulsa skyline and seats up to eight people.
"We pack these igloos full of comfort items," Diamond said. "We have pillows, obviously we have a lot of comfy seating, and we have blankets if you do get cold."
The igloos are also equipped with speakers to play music and a full menu to order from.
"We have a kitchen on-site, we have both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and we just simply serve them like you would at any other restaurant," Diamond said.
By December, patio season is typically long gone, but not at Iglootown.
"It is kind of this childish feel of setting up a fort, packing in a bunch of friends, and having a good time," Diamond said.
Those good times last even after the holidays are over.
"These are great for anniversaries, we do something special for Valentine's Day, even for New Year's Eve, there is always stuff to do around here not just Christmas," Diamond said.
A newer addition to Iglootown is the Cozy Cabin. This private greenhouse is in a secluded area on the rooftop and seats up to 10 people.
"It is just unique, and it is cozy because it is your own little environment just with your friends and family," Diamond said.
Iglootown is open through March 26, 2024. Igloos cost $60 to reserve for two hours and the Cozy Cabin is $150.
