Oklahoma State University is revealing plans for a nearly 700 acre research park in Stillwater.
The Innovation Park will connect the OSU Student Farm, Botanic Garden, and the Ferguson College of Agriculture Agronomy Research Station.
OSU said the park will connect these facilities and be used as a welcoming tool for the City of Stillwater from Highway 51.
The mission of the Innovation Park is to bring communities together and gain as much knowledge as possible, while incorporating OSU's land-grant mission through the pursuit of technology development and commercial partnerships.
Elizabeth Pollard is the Executive Director of The Innovation Foundation. She said this unique environment will encourage people to actively engage in tackling society’s most critical health, technology, energy, and environmental challenges.
“The idea is how do we take the assets we have? Create educational opportunities for the broader constituents that the university serves, while also allowing them to connect with technology that they might not otherwise have an opportunity to engage with," said Pollard.
The park will also incorporate the student farm that launched this fall, along with the Analytical Solutions Center, Drone Center and Horticulture Center.
