A Mayes County woman believes a serial burglary suspect also broke into her home.

Charylene Smith says while watching News On 6 this past week she saw Jennifer Norris had been arrested for burglary, again.

Smith said she found Norris walking around her home back in September, and after their run-in, Smith discovered money was missing from her home.

Smith said she was coming home from getting her phone fixed when she found a car she didn’t recognize in her driveway, so she took a picture.

After she took that picture, she said Norris walked out from the backyard and told Smith she was looking for her lost dog.

Smith said when she saw a car she didn't recognize in her driveway she wasn't afraid.

"Snakes and spiders are what scare me and that lady would not scare me either because she needs to hear from me," Smith said.

When Norris came from the backyard she was blocking Smith's car.

"I rolled down the passenger side window to speak with her. And she kind of stopped then and said, I'm roaming around looking for my lost dog," Smith said.

Once Norris left, Smith called the Mayes County Sheriff's office and when deputies searched the home they found her two jewelry boxes in the garage,

Deputies also found her bedroom dresser drawers open, and Smith said $500 was gone.

News On 6 checked Norris' criminal history and found in October she was charged with burglary in Craig County and was released on bond. Four days later she got a suspended sentence for embezzlement in Creek County and most recently she was arrested in Rogers County again for burglary.

In response to the case not being filed, Smith said, "Mine was not even on there and it was September the 26th and I'm infuriated about that because mine happened first."

Smith said she gave law enforcement a detailed report and is staying in contact with investigators.

"That detective said that they were trying to connect her in some way to being in my house. There were no fingerprints. She didn't take any jewelry to identify," Smith said.

Smith said if no charges are filed in her case, she hopes Norris at least learns from her actions.

"She needs to learn that the law is there for a reason," Smith said. "God gives us laws to follow and rules to follow she needs to learn to do that."

Since the run-in between Charylene and Jennifer, she has installed cameras around her home and moved her valuables to a safer spot.

News On 6 reached out to Norris for an interview but she declined.

Norris is currently being held in the Rogers County Detention Center.
