Some people who live near 81st and Delaware in Tulsa say they are worried about an effort to rezone property in their area.
They feel it could decrease their property values.
One of the developers says he's just trying to help others by adding more housing, which will bring value to the area.
Margaret Roberts has lived near 81st and Delaware for 20 years and worries about the possible rezoning.
"I fear if this becomes a great big rental community, the people behind here are going to start selling out, and it's just going to be a domino effect," she said.
She says the rezoning would allow for two duplexes to be built on one lot.
"The concern is when you have that many that close together, the safety issue increases dramatically," she said.
Libby Hardy also lives in the area and is uneasy about the rezoning.
She says there could be a demand for utilities.
"Increased use of water, and sewer water, and is everything in this area able to handle that, I have no idea, I would guess not," she said.
Both Roberts and Hardy are also worried about more traffic in an already busy area.
Roberts says property values have increased in recent years, but there's concern they could go down.
"When you start talking more and more people living in a smaller area, that traffic is just going to get louder and our homes won't be desirable," Roberts said.
There will be a town hall meeting at Zarrow Library at 6 p.m. to discuss the rezoning with the developers.
