Christmas traditions are a big part of the holiday experience.
News On 6 talked to a couple of kids about their favorite parts of the holiday.
Whether it's exchanging gifts, or sharing special meals, people celebrate Christmas differently.
For Banning Rosa, he and his family stopped by a Christmas mass service before joining more family.
"I mean, it's going pretty good," he said.
He says he loves Christmas morning, and he could hardly wait to open presents.
"My mom woke up before me, then I was just running to the living room, and I saw all the presents and I asked if we could open them now and they were like no let's do the stockings and then after that it was just great," Banning said.
He even got a visit from Santa.
"Santa did come and visit me," he said. "That's how I got my crazy car racer and a Red Rider BB gun 200 air rifle."
Down Riverside Drive, Amelia and Eleanor George played at the park with their family after they opened gifts.
"Eleanor got a trundle bed, Margaret got a dolly kit, I got a bike," said Amelia. "It has a bike and then something to carry two children in it."
Eleanor is excited about her new things, but she's looking forward to giving a special present to a family member.
"I made my grandma a little paper ornament," she said. "I cut shapes out and put it together."
There are different ways to spend the holiday, but the joys from each tradition will become cherished memories for years to come.
