Man Dies Following Weekend Stabbing At Tulsa Apartment Complex

A man who was stabbed several times at a Tulsa apartment complex on Friday has died, police confirm.

Tulsa Police responded to a fight at the Apache Manor apartment around 7 p.m. where they found David Blankenship with multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to the hospital where police said he died.

TPD said a woman at the scene on Friday had also been hit with a tire iron.

"The statement that was given was that she was attacked by the male subject who resides in the apartment, and she protected herself by stabbing the male multiple times," said Lieutenant Mike Sharpe with Tulsa Police.

The female suspect was questioned and released by authorities.

Police said investigators are still looking into whether the woman acted in self-defense.
