People got a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Broken Arrow's most unique buildings.

The Tulsa Foundation for Architecture says Chapel on the Hill was built in the 1960s as a church before becoming a wedding chapel and event venue.

Visitors got to walk through the iconic building, which was designed by the same architect as the Route 66 Rose Bowl.

"People are going to get to see a really incredible lobby, sanctuary, stained glass features, bell tower, and a ballroom," said TFA curator Lindsey Neal Kuykendall. "And a lot of the original aspects from the architect are intact."

The TFA said the goal of tours like these is to let people into spaces they normally aren't able to access.
