Oklahoma Man Arrested, Accused Of Murder In Texas Found Dead In Creek County Jail Cell

The OSBI is investigating after a Kiefer man accused of murder in Texas was found dead at the Creek County jail on Wednesday.

A Kiefer man was arrested Monday on a murder warrant in Texas and was being held in the Creek County jail, but was found dead in his cell on Wednesday.

Galveston Police said James Biesenbach killed longtime acquaintance James Heflin's Galveston home.

A murder warrant was issued for Biesenbach and he was placed in the Creek County jail for Galveston investigators.

The OSBI is now investigating the jail death and sent the following statement to News On 6 on Thursday:

"We were requested by the Creek County Sheriff's Office To investigate a death at the jail. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death. Still an ongoing investigation for us."
