Broken Arrow Police Searching For Man After Officer Wounded

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -

Broken Arrow police said an officer was shot on Sunday while responding to disturbance near the 2600 block of W. Galveston St.

Investigators said officers were responding to a disturbance with a firearm. During the investigation, an officer was shot in the arm.

Officers are searching for one of the people involved in the disturbance.

Police are searching for 29-year-old Hayden Ross Payne for what they say is Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Violation of a Protective Order.

Officers said Payne was last seen leaving the area in a black 2014 Chevrolet Equinox with the tag #EJD598.

According to police, the officer was shot in the arm and is being treated at an area hospital. The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
