Veteran Salute: Gary Berry

News On 6 wants to recognize veterans across Green Country who make a difference in their communities.

Gary Berry is from Pryor and was drafted in the Army when he was 19 years old. He served in the Vietnam War as an infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

After leaving the Army, Berry spent 30 years in education as a teacher and administrator. He has taken the time to speak at many Veteran’s Day assemblies.
