Pride Of Broken Arrow Performs For Nursing Home Residents

The Pride of Broken Arrow put on a show Monday for residents at a local nursing home.

The Village Health Center invited the marching band to come play. They said residents have been in lockdown without visitors since March and this was a visit they knew would put a smile on their faces.

“In a year that's been really trying, particularly with seniors, there's a lot of things they don't get to do,” Broken Arrow Director of Bands Darris Davis said. “We are celebrating the things they do get to do, and inventing things, new things that we haven't done before and on some levels, it's made the experience we offer high school kids even more meaningful.”

The nursing home hopes the band will come back for another performance soon.
