Tulsa Police Identify Man Killed In Residential Shooting

Tulsa police have now identified the man who was shot and killed in a Tulsa home Sunday evening. 

Authorities say David Bowman was shot multiple times and later died at a local hospital. Police are still investigating what led to the shooting near 31st and Memorial. Investigators are interviewing witnesses to determine if the shooter was acting in self-defense.

"We did a canvas of the area and people heard shots but they didn't see anything,” Tulsa Police Department Sgt. Kyle Straight said. “That's pretty indicative of the scene being inside the house. It was an outside on the street.”

The suspect was interviewed by police and released. Officers have not arrested anyone at this time and have not released the suspect's or victims' names yet. This marks Tulsa's 71st homicide of 2020
