A Tulsa church has partnered with an elementary school to help students who need a little extra help in the classroom.

Tulsa Public Schools started “Care and Connect Hours” last year for students having a hard time learning from home.

Eastwood Baptist Church offered to take students to and from Lindbergh Elementary to help ease the burden on parents.

“It's really a relieving of stress. Some of it has been really hard on them. They realize the importance of education. They want their kid to do well in distance learning, but they just don't have the skills and the abilities to do that,” Principal James Issacs said.

Care and Connect Hours are offered four days a week.
