Police Arrest Suspect After Chase In Downtown Tulsa Ends On News On 6 Lawn

A man was arrested on the front lawn of News On 6 after leading police on a short chase through downtown Tulsa.

A little before 3 p.m. Monday, police said officers tried to stop Nathan Burks near Archer and Harvard because the car’s tags didn’t match the vehicle. Police said he drove off and tried to ram a couple of police cars during the chase.

Police said he ditched a pipe and a bag of meth as he ran. News On 6 security cameras showed several Tulsa police officer tackle Burks as he passed in front of the News On 6 studio.

A passenger who stayed in the car was also arrested. Police have not released her name.

Burks is in the Tulsa County jail.
