Tulsa County Officials Say Man Attempted To Abuse Teenager

Tulsa County deputies arrested a man they said abused a teenaged girl and then tried to escape his arrest.

Deputies were called to a home around 7:30 p.m. Saturday where 40-year-old Robert Peters had been verbally abusing a 14-year-old girl there.

Witnesses reported that Peters punched windows at the home and also pushed either the girl or the mother.

After deputies arrested Peters, he resisted them as they tried to put him in a patrol car.

They also said he got out of the patrol car without permission.
