The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two people were killed in an overnight crash on the Muskogee Turnpike.
According to troopers, around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, a man driving a red truck went off the road, hit a guard rail and then came back and hit the center wall before coming to a stop facing the wrong direction. Troopers say a white car coming down the turnpike then hit that truck and went off the road.
Troopers say the driver of the truck and a passenger in the second car both died and the driver in the second car was taken to the hospital.
Troopers say other cars may have also sustained damage because of the debris from the crashes.
OHP investigators spent time surveying the scene and collecting information.
Some cars and semi-trucks were also trapped for a couple of hours because of the turnpike closure but have now been able to get back on their way.
Authorities have not yet identified the victims involved in the crash.
