Tulsa’s own Aslan, a rescue Chow Chow, was named a runner-up in a national contest.

People Magazine named their World’s Cutest Rescue Dog winner, Heaven, from Illinois.

Aslan, adopted by Jennifer and Matt Porter from Puppy Haven Rescue in Tulsa, was the first dog from Oklahoma to make it into the top ten. He advanced to the final three before being named runner-up in the 2021 contest.

His owners said he will always be the world's cutest rescue dog in their eyes.
