Mondo's Re-Opens In New Brookside Location

It's an exciting night for a Brookside restaurant, as Mondo's is back open in a new location.

Owner Rob Aloisio said it was always the goal to own their own space.

Most of all, they are just happy to be open and serving their customers.

The new spot is just a block down from the original building.

Owner Rob Aloiso said it was important to stay in Brookside.

It's an area that means so much to him, his family, and the restaurant.

"I live on the same street my business is on, so I'm rooted in Brookside, so when this came about, we jumped on it," he said.

Rob said at this new location, there's going to be a rooftop space and patio seating.

He said it's designed like the old restaurant, with pictures lining the wall.

This building just has room for more people.

"It's the same shotgun style restaurant, the old one was 18 feet wide, this one is now 20 feet wide," he said.

He said they've received great feedback from customers already.

Jason Pitcock's family has been going to the restaurant since it opened in 1969 and he couldn't miss the re-opening.

"Just super excited about the new location, great family, great food, great atmosphere, couldn't be more excited," he said.

Rob said they hope to have the reservation system set up within the next week.
