Union Public Schools says it needs more teachers for the upcoming school year.

The district is holding a job fair this weekend to help get more educators in the classroom.

Union Public Schools says enrollment is slowly growing for the district, so there is a big need for teachers right now.

School leaders say they are looking to hire at least 100 new teachers, but they say that number could end up being much higher.

Union says the job openings are district-wide, but they have a particular need for Special Education, Secondary Math, Science and Nurses.

School leaders say there is a sign-on bonus for those positions.

The job fair will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Union High School.

The district is asking people who want to apply to fill out an application online and school leaders will schedule your interview in advance, so you don't have to wait, but leaders say walk-ins are welcome.

Union is offering $200 classroom stipends for teachers to help set up their classrooms.
