Students and teachers in Jenks will return to the classroom on Thursday morning as the new school year gets underway.
The first school bell rings for 5th and 6th-grade students at 7:45 a.m.
The day begins at 8:30 a.m. for all elementary students and 9:15 a.m. for all secondary students.

According to the district, six staff collaboration days are built into this year’s calendar. On those days, students will take part in distance learning from home. Three of the days are planned for the fall semester on September 30, October 28 and December 9.
Back-to-school nights begin on Monday, August 29 and continue through September depending on the school site.
Students, parents and district staff can download the Trojan Tipline app for the school year to submit a safety concern or report anything suspicious this year.

The district says anyone who makes a report will remain anonymous.
The district says it is using a new bus routing system called TransFinder this year, which will send transportation info to parents.
The district announced that incorrect or incomplete information was sent out this week, but that the correct info is expected to be sent back out to parents ahead of busses leaving on Thursday morning.
