A lineup of princesses, farm animals, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus visited the Little Light House. However as the kids enter the room, there's something else they gravitate to.
“This is Mabel!” said Lisa Bain, owner of therapy dog Mabel Joy. Bain helped organize the holiday party.
“We’re here at Little Light House to just bless them, bless the staff, bless the children,” she said.
And to spread some happiness at one of the happiest places.
“I call it the place where joy and love live when we come here,” she said.
She says every child deserves to have a special Christmas.
“There is nothing I love more than coming in and seeing the laughter and it's like merry chaos in the best of ways,” said Bain.
Vaughn Graham works for Rich & Cartmill Insurance and Bonds, the insurance company that sponsors the event. He says they were happy to get involved.
“I think our most important participation, frankly, is our presence here... is helping the teachers and parents with the event and all of us enjoy that,” he said.
It's the kids' reactions that make it worth it.
“Their eyes light up and the expression on their face says it all,” said Graham.
Both Graham and Bain will do whatever it takes to bring the enchantment of the holiday season to each and every child here.
“This is what the season is all about,” Graham said.
