Oklahoma Man Sentenced To 18 Years For Shooting Other Man And Putting Body In Acid

A McIntosh County man has been sentenced to more than 18 years in prison for shooting a man and then putting his body in acid.

Investigators say Fredrick Burkhalter told his boss in 2022 he stole a gun from his roommate Kolby Ingram, got in a fight with him and shot him.

They say Burkhalter then put him in a barrel of acid and dumped the remains in a creek.

He pleaded guilty to causing a death during a violent crime in March.
